Reassign same piece of training

Hi All,
We are facing a very tricky issue where we need to reassign the same training again to learner(The course is a non renewal course) because of organizational purposes we might have to reassign the same training again which they had already completed previously eg if they move back to the department etc
Below is the scenario:
If an admin assign a course with self-paced offering and activity(having scorm or video content) and learner completes the offering by completing the content.
Now if Admin reassigns the same offering again to the Learner because they need to retake it then system shows the learner that they already completed the content as of the previous completion date of the first assignment.
