Is it possible to set different sequence person numbers for employees and contingent employees

Currently we are getting same sequence numbers for employees and contingent employees when hiring new persons. I want to set different sequence person numbers for employees and contingent employees.
Kindly guide me where and how to set this in application if any one having idea on this.
