Is anyone Using SSO and Alternative Access at the same time for accessing their LearnCenter

Summary

How can you use SSO when a portion of your user base is does not have an email address?

Content

We would like to enable Single-Sign-On for our LearnCenter, which since we authenticate via Azure AD makes the login process seamless. Unfortunately, but we have a significant number of part-time employees in a department who require training but do not have a city-issued email address which is how we authenticate users for SSO, so they are unable to use this method to log in. In our current configuration, a sub-LearnCenter is not a feasible option.

In spite of Oracle's warning to only use Alternative Access if your SSO integration fails, I have been tasked to see if going that route is a viable option for providing access for these employees. Is anyone else doing this? Other than Oracle not lending support if something breaks are there any pitfalls to using this approach?
