Outlook desktop client version needed for O365 Add-in usage

Hi,
Does anyone know where to find the latest documentation on which Outlook Desktop client a user needs in order to access the O365 Add-in? When we went live with the O365 integration, Outlook 2016 and newer allowed users to see the Add-in. Now those 2016 client users can no longer access the Add-in. Microsoft 365 desktop client works, but I would like to know if this is the only "version" that can be used.
