Can You Use a Custom Image With Ampere A1 Compute Instances?

edited May 26, 2021 7:39PM in Arm Compute 2 comments

I have found documentation explaining how to create a VM with a custom image. Does this documentation also apply to the new Ampere A1 instances? Additionally, I am curious about language within that documentation which says:

The image must be set up for BIOS boot.

Though BIOS can be an overloaded term in this context, I interpreted it to mean "non-UEFI" in that sentence and am slightly confused because I believe ARM platforms typically do not support 'legacy' non-UEFI BIOS boot. Furthermore, I observe that the Oracle Linux A1 instance I spun up appears to be using UEFI boot.

Howdy, Stranger!
