Is there a schedule process that runs to kick off workflow notifications?

Hello,

Is anyone aware of a scheduled process that kicks off workflow notifications? We are interested in monitoring the status of the workflow notification process. Not individual notifications that might fail, hang, succeed but higher level monitoring. More system level monitoring.

I've attached a screen shot of where I thought a process might be visible.
