Will an alert sent to invalid email address trigger an error

Hi there

Here is the case. There is an alert sent to 1000 email addresses. One of them is dummy - does not exist at all. It is a long story...

Will the alert throw out an error and will the dummy email recipient affect the other 999 recipients?
