Check if below setup will help your business requirement instead of custom measure.
Configure Planning Analytics > Levels and Attributes > Member Identifier to Display= Select "Item Name and Description"
its not showing up the Item description for all the Items after being added in the Planning Table

Please check this table.column --> MSC_DIMENSION_PRD_DYD.DESCRIPTION for those part numbers
Can you please check if the item description is the same for all item org combinations.
Yes the part numbers are present in MSC_DIMENSION_PRD_DYD
and, Item description is same for all orgs.
Item name and description is giving us the concatenation of two, we require seperate columns.
We have made the Level attributes to Item name as of now.
Hi Vatsala, Please check if you have created the custom measure at the lowest level - on dimensions (Item, Demand Class, Organization, Customer Site, Day and Sales Rep) with an expression “Attr(Item, Item Description)”, remove any measure that ends with 'year ago' and try. Earlier there was an issue in adding 'year ago' measures to the tables along with the custom measure to display item description, though i am not sure if the issue exists now. Thanks !
User13107410-Oracle Hi, we were able to solve it, the granularity level had to be a bit lower and similar to the other measures and thus we chose Org+Time+Product and was able to solve it and the values are reflecting now.
