Duplicate Emails from Alerts

When selecting Learning Alerts to Email and Worklist, two notification emails are received by the learner, one from the Email and and one FYI which we think relates to the Worklist alert as it isn't sent if Worklist is not selected as an alert destination.  Does anyone else have this and how have you stopped the FYI email so the learner doesn't receive two emails every time an alert is sent without turning off worklist notifications?
