Binding variables support in DFFs

It appears to me Oracle are discontinuing support on bind variables such as SEGMENT.Segment_Code and VALUESET.Value_set_code on DFFs which have a table validated value set. See attached a screen shot from what I found in 21C document. Also in 21B too..

One of our client has a number of such DFF's in the design and are entering UAT shortly and I've started noticing these issues already and I'm considering redesigning these value sets. 

Are anyone aware that this is an Opt-In [perhaps not] so at least there is some borrowed time or any other idea's?
