Advanced Search for Courses - Selecting a dropdown value or check a box still need a keyword

We have a flexfield defined called Category. The aim is to have the learner be able to search all courses on one category but as it appears, the learners need to be put an additional search criteria in as in keywords. Oracle has confirmed that this is working as designed.

Does anyone know whether there is already an idea out there for this (couldn't find anything) and if not who else would be interested seeing this fixed? We find this rather painful that the learner still needs to know the name of the course in order to search.

thanks!
