Use case for Business Object

When to use business object and when to use full fledged Data base.

Hello Everyone,

Please suggest on the below points for business object.

1) Is there any limitations on the number of records that can be inserted into the business object.

2) Can we persist the time for much long as we can similar to Database or data is deleted after some time.

3) I know we get the rest end points generated for business object out of the box. But just wanted to know is there any possibility we can write SQL statement or PL/SQL code.

4) Any other pointers when we need to go with DBCS instead of Business Object.
