Display BOM components on custom page

Hi,
We have a requirement to show the component items  for user entered BOM on a custom page and perform some update operations. We are using Application composer for invoking a BOM report to fetch components. Once we have the report output, how do we display the output onto the page in Application composer. Has anyone worked on a similar requirement.
Please share any reference documents or suggest how this can be achieved.
