can we have a different notifiations for different courses

Hi Team,

 Can we have more than one varietie of email notifications send to users, When course 1 is assigned email 1 has to trigger to the users and when course 2 is assigned email 2 has to trigger to the users. If yes, please let me know the configuration, if not possible what would be the work around for this.
