Custom Part Fields - Limitation on Number Type Fields

Can we have more than 3 Number Type Custom Part Fields

Currently we have a limitation of only 3 Number Type Custom Part fields. For one of our projects, we need at least two more Number Type fields. Is there a possibility of increasing this limit or we need to make use of String Type part fields for storing Float Numbers.
