What is the Purpose of the Chart of Accounts Value? in RI Spreadsheet

It is not clear how line sources are used to derive account values when select Yes for the Chart of Accounts Value? column.

In the Accounting Hub Source System Setup spreadsheet, the Line Information tab has a column called Chart of Accounts Value? docs.oracle says the following under in Manage Source Systems: "Indicates that the source can be used to derive an account."

After the spreadsheet is uploaded, on the Manage Sources page the source is defined where Other is specified for the Flexfield Segment Name. My research shows this field is just the segment labels, and thus not any specific segment with an associated value set. It is also not possible to select a value set.
