Is there any document or reference guide for Archive and Purge strategy for Cloud ERP and EPM?

Content (required):

For EBS, we had excellent resources in form of Oracle whitepapers and strategy guides for each module based about the Archive and Purge strategy. However, I am unable to find any content around this topic for cloud ERP? Is there a reference document for guiding customers on Data retention on cloud, limitations on extracts beyond a certain time frame or Volume? Is Archival and Purge still relevant for Cloud SaaS?
