Hide Data Models on Reports & Analytics based on custom role

All,

Is there a way to hide the data models (.xdm) on the reporting folders (Reports and analytics) using a custom role.

In other words, User A should be able to view both the data models(.xdm) and reports (.xdo) while user B should be able to view only the reports (.xdo) on the reporting folders.
