OTM Cloud - Gate/Yard Check In, Check Out and Trailer Moves - 3rd Party Mobile interface ??

Client is looking for a custom solution - whereby they can scan a QR code (shipment Id) when the trailer/vehicle arrives - and then it should create a yard/gate check in transaction / update of shipment data.

Is there a 3rd Party solution available which can integrate with OTM Cloud to provide for all 3 transactions - Yard Check In/Check Out and Trailer moves within Yard.

Is there an API available or we would just need to use the actual shipment interface to update the fields on the shipment or shipment events / tacking events update ?

Just wanted to have some viewpoints on this.
