NR SmartView POV with member aliases list

Unable to get member aliases in the SmartView POV of a MR report in Narrative Reporting. The web version of the report has the ability to display member name, alias or both and it works. But when I open the same report in SmartView and then try to edit the POV, I am presented with only member names in the list (see screenshot). From SmartView Options, I did try to set as Member name and description but it doesn't seem to pick it up. Has anyone faced this issue and found a way to overcome it?
