Not able to find the stuck approval transaction

Content (required):

A client has terminated a few employees but the transaction hasn't been completed or failed, because of this edit button grey-out on the assignment page. And we are not able to find these transactions in the transaction console.

Please suggest if anyone has faced the same issue before.
