Edit a standard report without regenerating sample data?

Summary:

Hi, I am editing a standard report (BIP) in Fusion Financials and have added the new field to the data model using the trick of exporting the zip (xdmz) contents and manually editing the unzipped file. All good so far.

But I cannot run the report because it has a stack of dynamic content generated by a database trigger which is not visible to me.

I now need to add a new field to the report, but I cannot do this in the normal way because the data model sample is not seeing the new field.

Can anyone remind me how I must have got around this previously?
