What does 'System Update' refer to in the requisition workflow

There are a few 'System Update' tasks in the requisition workflow before an approver that don't give any detail as to why they are there.


Content (required):

In the requisition workflow there are 2 boxes above the next approver that say 'System Update'. When hovering over those 2 boxes the details are:

Participant

Assignee: System Update

Reason: None


We do not know what this means and why it is there before the next approver. It doesn't seem to hinder on the next person approving the requisition, but we would like to know why these 'System Updates' are showing up in the approval workflow.
