Removing attachments from Knowledge search results

edited Jan 6, 2022 7:03PM in Human Capital Management

Summary:

We've been requested by the business to remove attachments from search results within knowledge to help streamline search for end users, but are experiencing some issues in realising this.

Content (required):

We know that the Profile Option CSO_ENABLE_INDEX_ARTICLE_ATTACHMENTS controls the view of this and have successfully changed the setting within one of our development environments.

However when trying to replicate this change is a higher environment changing CSO_ENABLE_INDEX_ARTICLE_ATTACHMENTS to NO is not having the desired effect.

The main difference between these two environments is one has Digital Assistant enabled and one doesn't. The environment without it enabled this change has worked as expected, the one with it enabled regardless of any content processing the attachments will still show in the search results, both searching knowledge directly or via Digital Assistant.

Howdy, Stranger!
