What populates the Bonus Depr Amount field on an asset's Depr tab?

in Assets 1 comment

Summary:

We are trying to apply 100% Bonus Depr to some Tax Book assets. In test region, user changed Depr Method to the delivered MACRS 100B HY, and calculated depr. The entire remaining NBV appeared in the Depreciation Adjustment Amount column, and the Bonus Depr Amount column remained at 0.00.

One uneducated guess is that the MACRS 100B has 100% depr in Year 1, and this asset was Placed in Service Oct-2019. Not sure if it would calculate depr retroactively.

Content (required):

We have never configured Bonus Rules, and after reading through Doc ID 1105428.1 (Bonus Depreciation Rule and Calculations Overview in Oracle Asset), I'm not sure that is the path we need to take.

Howdy, Stranger!
