Prevent duplicate matrix manager records of each type

Hi - is it possible to restrict creating multiple entries for each matrix manager type ?

Example - the system currently restricts us from having more than one Line Manager. If we try to add another Line Manager, the system throws an error.

Similarly, we have matrix managers such as Project Manager, Country Manager, etc.

Is it possible to allow only one record of each matrix manager type i.e. only one Project Manager per employee. If someone tries to add an additional Project Manager, the system should throw an error.
