Change type of font in RTF template

The following when authored in Word using Oracle Analytics Publisher Desktop 12.2.5.5.0 does not respect the bold text where specified.

<?xdofx:if 1=1 then ‘For information on other payment methods please call xxxx xxxxx’ end if?>
What I get when the template is rendered is simply:
"Other payment methods
For information on other payment methods please call xxxx xxxxx"
How can I ensure that the bold text persists where rendering the report?
