Adding a custom dimension to Planning does not show in the Planning Admin extension

Summary:

When I add a custom dimension, either through DM or manually, the added dimension does not show in the Planning Admin Extension in Smartview under dimensions. Is this a bug?

Content (required):

I have refreshed the Database and retrieved data in smartview and can see the new dimension everywhere else except under Dimensions in the Planning admin Extension. I tried disabling the addin and re-enabling it and it still did not work.
