Approval Delegations - shorter list of Category

Clean up the list visible in the Category field of the Approval Delegations (vacation rules) section

When an employee goes to the 'Me' tab --> Roles and Delegations app tile, they can see a large list of Category. An example is in the screen capture below.
Can you confirm you have been able to control this list by cleaning up the Category field from within BPM Administration area - and share your experiences in going down this path - e.g. do these get written over by Oracle values with quarterly updates (I am aware there was previously a bug around this)
