Unable to get Leave Balance

Summary: Hi, I created a leave plan for accrual and defined accrual balance 22 in matrix with accrual method as front loaded. On creating a main validation formula of type "Global Absence Entry Validation" I call an another formula of type "Global Absence Accrual" to get the accrual balance in main formula to get the leave balance. I attached the validation formula to absence type. I enrolled an employee into the plan. I create and absence record and submit. The validation fires but the "Global Absence Accrual" formula returns 0 accrual balance.

Any idea where I am mistaking.
