Route Project Status Approval Notification To A Project Resource instead of Project Team Member

Is it possible to route the project status approval notification to a project resource instead of a project team member?

We currently were able to route the project status approval to a specific project team member based on project role, based on Doc ID 2390199.1.

Is it possible to route it to a project resource as well?

If yes, what is the condition required? ( for example, for team member project role, condition is applied on ProjectTeamMember.teamMemberRoleName)
