How can a date attribute be compared with Period Start date in Filters?

Summary:

I need to write a format rule to carry forward the Explanations/Adjustments with a specific condition on the one of the attributes - close date.

The reconciling items should get carried forward only when the close date is greater than the current period start date.

ARCS filters do not allow setting up a condition where the date attribute can be compared with the SYSDATE or CURRENT_DATE or to any OOB date attributes. It can just compare to a calendar date.

How can this be done?

It would be great if the Date attributes within the application should be made available to make the filters/rules more dynamic.
