Is there any possibility to update a DFF on a contract without the need to create amendment on contr

Summary:

We would need to have a specific process that would involve the creation of a DFF and afterwards its usage in the contract. We would like this DFF to have a list of values, such as: initial, middle, end and after each phase of the contract would be gone to be able to update this into the contract without the need to amend the contract.

Thus, is there any possibility to update a DFF on the contract (either lines or header) without the need to create amendment on the contract?
