Project Plan Duration and Effort Issue

Summary:

We are trying to create a project plan. Our project has 8 hours per day, 5 days per week calendar and schedule type is Fixed Duration.

First, we have decided start date and duration and then added resource, effort.

The issue is, duration is calculated for work days but effort is not calculated like that. It takes all days and ignores weekend.

How we can solve this? Are we entering the plan in unappropiate way?
