Checklist due dates are set to effective X weeks from date transaction was performed

Summary:

Got a question, noticed that effective due dates that appear on checklist items requiring action (eg. by separating employee) appear with a date 2 weeks from the data the termination transaction was processed in HCM. Is there a way to change this so checklist items completion due date are 3 days before the actual termination date (or last day worked)?

Same goes for onboarding and offboarding items (we are yet to implement Journeys so these are purely checklist items) having onboarding items completion due date set X days/week before the new employee commencement date, and offboarding item completion due dates set to X days/weeks before the employee's last day of employment. Currently dont see this as an option and the current configuration doesnt really make sense
