Is there a maximum number of rows for a common lookup?

Our team has a requirement to create and maintain a lookup which could potentially grow to hundreds of thousands of rows. Is there a maximum number of rows allowed for a common lookup?

Our team has created a common lookup to maintain 'Product' values which will be referenced in a flexfield value set. Products in our organization will represent a financial structure used to track product teams against positions/headcount, open requisitions/future headcount, etc.

Over time, this lookup could contain hundreds of thousands of rows, which brings me to my concern, is there a max number of rows allowed for a common lookup?
