Night shift Employees not able to apply absence when the next day is a Public holiday

Summary: Night shift Employees not able to apply absence when the next day is a Public holiday. The System is not calculating the Public Holiday and returning the duration as Zero. How can we rectify this error. I even tried to create Calendar event and attach the same to the Work Schedule but I am not able to include the Holiday to the country under the tree.

Please let me know if any one or client had this problem and the solution.
