How to restrict LOV for Project Roles in the Parties tab?

Is there a way to restrict the Project Roles basis the Project Types?

Content (required):

We have a requirement to restrict the LOV that displays the Project roles while adding a new team member in the Parties tab for a financial project basis the Project type.

We have two types of projects - capital and research (grants related sponsored projects). Basis the two types, we have defined different set of custom project roles. However, all the project roles show up in the LOV while adding a new team member for both the types of projects.

Is there a way to restrict the Project Roles basis the Project Types?
