What does "formulaProcessType="FF_AP_JAVA" means? (fast formula log)

Fast formula not getting executed properly

I have an issue with a fast formula, it does not execute properly.
When checking the generated log, I noticed soemthing different from other fast formulas: the Process Type is different: it is "FF_AP_JAVA" instead of "FF_JAVA" . What is the difference?
On the test environment, with exactly same setup and code (fast formula, rule template, template, include in rule set), all is working fine.
But on PROD I have the above issue.
