Create a custom measure to count planned orders by period

Summary:

We used the existing measure Planned Order and created a pivot table on that but what we see is a sum of planned order quantity instead of count .Example if there are 5 planned orders created in april for say 3 qty each we want to see a value of 5 instead of 15 which is what we see now.

How can we create a new custom measure that will help us show the count of planned orders for make and buy items by period?
