Configuration of Person Number Generation for 2 different Legal Entities.

Summary:

Our organization is split into two parts- 'X' and 'Y'.

HR have dictated that the Person Numbers must be different. 'X' Person Numbers must be 6-digit and begin with ‘1’, whereas 'Y' Person Numbers must be 6-digit and begin with ‘9’.

Our system is set-up so that when a new employee is added into the system the Person Number autogenerates and they were set-up to be the 'X' org format i.e. beginning with ‘1’.

We need to add a few new 'Y' org staff into Oracle, but when I do this they get assigned Person Numbers that begin with ‘1’.

How can we add these new 'Y' org staff and get their Person Number to begin with ‘9’.

Howdy, Stranger!
