How to handle HCM department name changes in OTBI analysis report assignments

I'm looking for best practices in handling OTBI based assignments when a Department name is used in the criteria, but then that department name changes. In testing, I've figured out that the Filters are not updated when the Department name is updated. The OTBI analysis that used to have 1796 people now has zero. Unfortunately we have hundreds of OTBI reports making assignments. I don't see any way to know which OTBI analysis needs changing except by keeping track in an external spreadsheet of each and every department and the OTBIs it is used in. If you have
