Introduction

Oracle Commerce allows user interface extensions through widgets and integrates with other systems via webhooks as well as other available mechanisms. Oracle Commerce did not provide the capability to extend or implement a custom feature on the server side. Oracle Commerce Server-Side Extension aims to fill that gap and provides an environment for our customer and partner developers to add additional valuable features on the server side.

Importantly these extensions will run in the Commerce Cloud Level 1 PCI DSS compliance zone, making them an excellent fit for functional webhook targets, such as Order Submit, that require that level of confidence.
