Required Assignments in Communities: ? re: Publish Start Date field

Summary:

We make required assignments through Official Communities in our Oracle instance. I noticed that there is a Publish Start Date field available. Typically, we have been leaving this as the date we are making the assignment. However, we have a team member who wants to take some PTO, and setting up these assignments is part of their responsibility. We are looking to see if we can make an assignment that starts on a future date and also sends the notification alert on that future date instead of having someone else make these assignments for them.

Content (required):

If we enter a date in the future in this field, does it impact the date the learner gets the assignment notification/alert? Does the learner get notified on the date the assignment is made or the date in this field if the two dates are not the same?
