UK - Title & Gender field list of values - dictated by HMRC? - how to get more inclusive options?

Hello,

We have received requests/feedback to have a more inclusive list of values within the Title & Gender field under Personal Details - we believe this value list is dictated by HMRC as the values are included on the FPS... therefore unable to update? How do other companies feed this back / explain to their business?

Are there any options that would allow us to extend this list yet stay compliant on the interface to HMRC?
