Work Order Adjustment line

Hi,

Usually when we checked the cost accounting distributions of the completed work orders costing happens as expected. Recently we found for few of the Work Orders has 2 lines one of Product Completion and Another of type adjustment.

One has inventory valuation and other shows inventory write off. In what cases adjustment line is generated with negative value. Would be grateful if someone reverts on this with an example.
