Balance for alternate data source hierarchy

We have a requirement for an alternate data source hierarchy. The problem lies with the balancing account, FCCS_Balance, which is populated only in the "No Data Source" member. This member cannot be shared so the alternate hierarchy is out of balance. We have tried ODR as well as rules in configurable calculation but the performance is unacceptable. Has anyone found a solution for this problem?
