How to synchronize Bell notifications after activating "All" mode in BPM settings?

We went live today, but the Notification Mode was set to None, so no notifications and emails went out.
We put it to All only in the end of the day when 20 absence requests were already created.
We tried to submit the scheduled process "Synchronize notifications in global header", but this didn't help.
So the Bell icon for Managers (approvers) is empty and in the same time we can see in the transaction console that 20 workflows are pending for approvals and were sent to theseManagers.
If there is any way to update users' notifications with previously created transactions (that are available in the same time in BPM Worklist)?
