Groovy - Acting on Edited Cells Issue

Hi,

We are running a basic groovy rule on save to act only on edited cells. The form in question is a spin off of the OOB expense trending form, but with additional dimensions in the rows besides account.

I have used this approach at multiple implementations without issue (thank you @Kyle Goodfriend, In2Hyperion-Oracle !). The behavior I am currently seeing is that if I only edit smart list values (Trend column in red below), the rule doesn't recognize any cells as being edited. If I edit non smart list cells (% and Adjustment columns in green below), then the rule picks up the edited members as expected.
