Auto approve absences covering a specific date range

Hi,

Has anyone dealt with anything similar? We are exploring having employees enter their absence for a year end period, so it will come out of their accrual balance, but without having it go to line managers for approval.

It is just for this particular period that it should be auto approved. Outside of this time it would need to follow normal line manager approval, which is current behavior.
